What Is a Life Path Number (and How Do You Work Yours Out)?

Your Life Path number is calculated from your full date of birth: reduce the month, the day, and the year each to a single digit (or to 11, 22 or 33, the master numbers, which are never reduced further), then add the three results and reduce again the same way. A worked example. Someone born on 7 April 1993: the month is 4, the day is 7, and the year reduces as 1 + 9 + 9 + 3 = 22 — a master number, so it stays. Then 4 + 7 + 22 = 33. Another master number, so it stays too: Life Path 33, one of the rarest results there is. This is also where many quick online calculators quietly go wrong — they reduce everything to a single digit no matter what, flattening an 11 into a 2 or a 33 into a 6 and erasing the most distinctive part of the answer.
