1. About Celestial
Celestial is an AI-powered personalised astrology reading application. It generates birth chart interpretations based on the birth data you provide, using artificial intelligence via the Anthropic Claude API.
Celestial is operated by Connectum Labs Pty Ltd, a company registered in Queensland, Australia.
2. Entertainment & Disclaimer
The readings generated by Celestial are produced by an artificial intelligence model and are based on astrological traditions and interpretations. They do not constitute professional advice of any kind. Celestial makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any reading for any purpose.
3. Eligibility
By using Celestial, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the service. If you are creating an account or making a purchase on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
4. Accounts
You may use Celestial as an anonymous visitor (limited to one free reading per device) or by creating an account using a valid email address and password.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access at hello@celestialreads.app.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Pricing & Payments
Plans
Celestial offers the following plans:
- Free (anonymous) — one reading per device, no account required.
- Free account — one saved reading with an account.
- One-off — a single paid reading for USD $4.99.
- Monthly subscription — unlimited readings for USD $7.99/month.
- Annual subscription — unlimited readings for USD $79.99/year.
All prices are in US Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of any applicable taxes. Prices are subject to change with notice.
Payment processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing a plan, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your payment card details.
Subscriptions & billing
Monthly and annual subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal accessible in the app.
Refunds
We offer refunds at our discretion. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing a reading you paid for, contact us at hello@celestialreads.app within 14 days of purchase and we will review your request. Subscription refunds for partial periods are not provided unless required by applicable law.
Australian Consumer Law rights are not excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where those rights cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Celestial for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Attempt to circumvent free reading limits through artificial means (e.g. clearing cookies, using automated tools).
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from Celestial in bulk.
- Use Celestial to harass, harm, or defraud any person.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to Celestial's systems or other users' accounts.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other malicious code.
- Resell or sublicense access to Celestial without our prior written consent.
7. Your Content
The birth data you submit (name, date, time, location) is used solely to generate your reading. You retain all rights to any personal data you provide. By submitting this data, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it for the purpose of generating and storing your reading.
The astrology readings generated by Celestial are owned by Connectum Labs Pty Ltd. You are granted a personal, non-commercial licence to view, save, and share your own readings. You may not reproduce or redistribute readings for commercial purposes.
8. Shareable Reading Links
Celestial allows you to share a unique link to your reading. By sharing a reading link, you acknowledge that anyone with the link can view that reading. Do not share reading links if you wish your birth data to remain private.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, trademarks, and technology comprising Celestial — including but not limited to the Celestial name, the application interface, and the underlying reading generation system — are owned by or licensed to Connectum Labs Pty Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our intellectual property beyond what is expressly stated.
10. Availability & Service Changes
We aim to provide Celestial reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, experience third-party outages (e.g. Anthropic API downtime), or modify features at any time. We will aim to provide notice of significant changes where practical.
We reserve the right to discontinue Celestial with reasonable notice. In the event of discontinuation, active paid subscribers will be provided a prorated refund.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Connectum Labs Pty Ltd and its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Celestial, including but not limited to:
- Reliance on AI-generated reading content.
- Loss of data or account access.
- Interruptions to service availability.
- Decisions made based on reading content.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Celestial shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or AUD $50, whichever is greater.
Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in this clause excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or condition, imposed by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Connectum Labs Pty Ltd from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of Celestial.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by email notification to registered users. Continued use of Celestial after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
